Connecting Students to Careers, Professionals to Communities and Communties to Better Health

Age Group:     Terrell High School Students Grades 10^th, 11^th, and 12^th

Lake Country AHEC is hosting a summer day camp for high school students in 10th-12th grades who are interested in seeing what it’s like in the health care field. 

Students will have the opportunity to observe health care professionals at different hospitals like Terrell State Psychiatric Hospital as well as Kaufman Presbyterian Hospital.

 

Students will also experience certain activities like:

·  EMS Helicopter Landing

·  Horseback riding therapy

·  ER and OR observations.

·  

We also included a field trip to Baylor Hospital in Garland, as well as hands on activities at Trinity Valley Community College at their Health Science Nursing Center.
